CROCKPOT CHICKEN

CROCKPOT CHICKEN

Ingredients:

1 frying chicken, cut up
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sauterne or sherry
2 tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
2 tbsp. dry Italian salad dressing mix
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, cut in cubes
1 tbsp. onion, chopped
Salt & pepper
Instructions:

1. Wash chicken and pat dry.
2. Brush with butter.
3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
4. Place in crock pot.
5. Sprinkle with dry salad mix.
6. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours.
7. About 3/4 hour before serving, mix soup, cream cheese, wine, and onion in small saucepan.
8. Cook until smooth.
9. Pour over chicken in pot.
10. Cover and cook for 30 minutes on low.
11. Serve with sauce.
12. Serve with rice or noodles.

RAISIN APPLE CRISP

RAISIN APPLE CRISP

Ingredients:

3 Apples
1/4 cup Raisins
1/4 cup Chopped nuts
1/8 cup Water
3/8 cup Brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 tablespoon Lemon juice
2 tablespoon Flour
2 tablespoon margarine
1/8 teaspoon Salt

Instructions:

1. Wash, pare, core and slice apples thinly.
2. Mix with raisins.
3. Place in a greased casserole.
4. Add cinnamon, salt, lemon juice and water.
5. Work sugar, flour and margarine (fat) together to form crumb like consistency.
6. Spread over apple and raisin mixture.
7. Bake in 380 degree oven for at least 30 minutes.

All-American Snack

All-American Snack

Ingredients:

3 cups thin pretzel sticks
4 cups Wheat Chex
4 cups Cheerios
13 ounces can salted peanuts
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon celery salt

Instructions:

1. In large mixing bowl or slow-cooking pot, mix together pretzels, cereals, and peanuts.
2. Sprinkle with garlic salt, celery salt, seasoned salt, and cheese.
3. Pour melted butter over all; toss until well mixed.
4. Cover and cook in slow-cooking pot on low 3 to 4 hours.
5. Uncover the last 30 to 40 minutes. Serve as appetizer or snack.

AMISH STYLE BAKED BEANS

AMISH STYLE BAKED BEANS

Ingredients:

1 can kidney beans
1 can butter beans
1 can pork & beans
4 slices bacon
2 small onions, chopped
1 cup. brown sugar
1 cup. catsup
1 tsp. prepared mustard
Instructions:

1. Drain kidney and butter beans.
2. Mix beans together.
3. Fry bacon, but don’t brown it.
4. Put beans, bacon and onions in casserole.
5. Add sugar, catsup and mustard.
6. Mix well and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
